Before we begin, I need to check my stash of chocolate: Kit Kats,
Reese’s cups, Three Musketeers, and Twix. I’m good for the evening.
What, you thought I was going to give these away? Ha!
While I’m savoring the chocolate, here are my top five Halloween
1. Peanuts “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”.
Goes without saying. It isn’t Halloween without Charlie Brown and his bag of rocks.
2. Supernatural: “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester”.
Hex bags, and witches, and blood sacrifices, oh, my. Who doesn’t love to watch the Winchesters hunting things and saving people?
3. Buffy the Vampire Slayer: “Hush”.
Probably one of the best TV episodes for any one hour drama ever. I’ll challenge anyone who says otherwise. The Gentleman scared the hell out of me, but it was their creepy minions that made it worse.
4. ET The Extra-Terrestrial
Always and forever. When ET’s bike soars into the air and John
Williams score swells with it – I cry every time.
So much fun and yet so damn creepy.
Not on my list: The Nightmare Before Christmas. I never understood the appeal. I didn’t enjoy the music or Jack Skellington enough to care about the story, which is odd since I usually love all things Disney. I saw it once and don’t feel the need to watch it again.
